We have identified several important instruments required during an energy audit:

1. Temperature Indicator and Measuring Device: The temperature indicator is the most important instrument for measuring process temperature and heat loss, various temperature measuring devices are available to perform this activity.

2 Flue Gas Analyzer: The flue gas analyzer is another important instrument for measuring the combustion efficiency of a boiler or furnace. monitoring of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and oxygen is important to identify losses due to incomplete combustion or excess air supply.

3 Steam Trap Tester/Monitor: Steam is one of the main forms of energy consumed in the process industry for various applications. Steam generation, distribution and consumption must be carried out efficiently, for proper distribution and consumption of steam condensate must be removed as soon as it forms in the steam network, to remove condensate steam traps are used. Steam trap traps steam and removes condensate from the steam system. Failure of steam traps can increase energy loss, therefore steam traps must be checked periodically or during energy audits to function properly.

4 Conductivity, TDS & pH Meter: A conductivity meter or TDS is required to measure the salt concentration of a boiler drum or cooling tower. with this meter, we can easily identify operational gaps in the operation of a boiler or cooling tower.

5 Thermo hygrometer: it is used to measure humidity and temperature of a desired area, Thermo hydrometer is essential for studying HVAC system operation. This meter can also be used to calculate the dew point of air.

6. Ultrasonic Flowmeter: flow measurement is required to measure flow to calculate pumping efficiency, with an ultrasonic flowmeter, fluid velocity can be measured without actual fluid contact by measuring the ultrasonic sound from the surface of a moving fluid pipe.

7 Digital Pressure Indicator: Digital pressure indicator is required to measure fluid pressure. It is important to measure the efficiency of pumps, air compressors, blowers, fans, vacuum systems etc. Today's available digital pressure indication can take precise measurements for both positive and negative pressures.

10 Anemometer: Anemometer is an instrument used to measure wind speed and direction. It is usually used to measure fan speed and calculate airflow.

11 Tachometer: Tachometer is used to measure the rotational speed of the equipment without contact.

12 Power analyzer: Power analyzer is a multi-functional power analysis tool used to measure direct current, alternating current, AC voltage, DC voltage, DC or AC intensity, phase rotation, and idle, apparent and effective power precisely

13 Multimeter digital: A digital multimeter is a test instrument used to measure two or more electrical values—especially voltage (volts), current (amps) and resistance (ohms).

14 Harmonic Analyzer: used to measure frequencies, amplitudes, distinct phases, and various components of non-sinusoidal waveforms, harmonic studies are important for performing detailed power quality analysis.

15 Luxmeter: used to measure lighting levels, to analyze lighting requirements, it is important to measure lighting levels at various hours of the day to check if lighting is sufficient or some modification is needed.
